Editor's Note:

One month ago, Pittsburgh officers Eric Kelly, Stephen Mayhle and Paul Sciullo II were killed in an ambush. In the aftermath of that tragedy we asked P1 columnist Lt. Dan Marcou to write an article on counter-ambush tactics for patrol officers. Today, we present Dan’s analysis in memory of the three fallen officers of Pittsburgh PD.

Two weeks ago, Rich Lord from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette asked PoliceOne for experts in officer safety and police training and we were pleased to introduce him to P1 columnist Lt. John Bennett and Street Survival Seminar Instructor (and P1 columnist) Lt. Jim Glennon, both of whom are quoted in today's featured news article.
