Wash. officer faces murder charge for shooting drunk driver

On the night of June 10, Officer Troy Meade responded to a call that a drunk man was causing a disturbance. The man, Niles Meservey, refused to get out of his car, and the confrontation escalated. It ended when Meade shot at Meservey eight times.

A Washington court is unraveling the fuzzy details of that night. The jury will have to answer a difficult question: Did Meade commit murder when he shot the belligerent driver?... "I feared for my life"
