Dear PoliceOne Member,

A highly impressive SWAT exercise called Urban Shield took place in the Bay Area this weekend, featuring 29 tactical teams, including three from the Middle East and a team from the FBI.

Congratulations to Alameda County Sheriff Greg Ahern, Assistant Sheriff Jim Baker, Commanders Kevin Hart, Rocky Maderos, Brett Keteles, and the many hundreds of planners and behind-the-scenes participants who worked to put the impressive event together.

PoliceOne will continue to post our coverage of various aspects of this event in coming days and weeks.
