DALLAS, NC — A police corporal died in a car accident while on duty Thursday.
Travis Wells, 46, was in his patrol vehicle when it left the road and hit a tree, according to ODMP. He died of the injuries he sustained in the crash.
Wells was a corporal at the department where he had served for 22 years. He is survived by his wife.
