Assistant police chief dies of aneurysm during physical fitness test

BRIGHAM CITY, Utah — A Brigham City Assistant Chief of Police died Oct. 26 following a brain aneurysm he suffered during an annual physical fitness test the previous week, OMDP reported.

Dennis Vincent was taken to a local hospital after collapsing during the test on Oct. 18.

Vincent began his law enforcement career with the Willard Police Department, where he served for four years, and was a 24-year veteran of the Brigham City Police Department. 

He is survived by his wife, four sons and three grandchildren.
