LIVERMORE, Calif. — An officer suffered a fatal heart attack after collapsing while on foot patrol.
ODMP reports Officer Ronald Leisure with the Department of Veterans Affairs was conducting checks of a complex at the VA Medical Center in Livermore November 14 when the incident occurred.
Medical staff attempted to revive him, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
Officer Leisure was an Army veteran and had served with the department for 15 years, according to the report. He is survived by his daughter.
