THUNDER BAY, Ontario — The Thunder Bay Police Service’s sole K-9 officer died of what appears to be a heart attack during a training session with his new K-9, Timber.
Const. Joseph Prevett suddenly fell ill Wednesday and was transported to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to TBNewsWatch.
More than 500 officers and K-9s are expected to attend Prevett’s funeral services.
