MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. — A woman has been arrested after a detective’s home was set on fire and destroyed Thursday.

According to NBC Philadelphia, 52-year-old Donna M. Krupp is accused of intentionally setting Detective Ernie Morris’ house on fire in a revenge plot driven by the arrest of Krupp’s son in June.

Krupp reportedly believes Detective Morris, her neighbor, pointed state troopers to the location of her son, Joshua Beauseigneur, who was wanted on an outstanding traffic violation.

Morris had no involvement in the case, according to the report.

In the months following her son’s arrest, Krupp harassed Morris – repeatedly confronting him as he returned from work.

Surveillance cameras that Morris set up after his car was egged and sugar was put in his vehicle’s fuel tank reportedly captured Krupp light his porch on fire, which quickly engulfed the entire house.

“The one daughter was an aspiring artist. She lost her entire portfolio,” Police Chief Bill Albany told WFMZ. “The other daughter was a musician and lost her violin.”

Krupp started the fire while the family was vacationing at Walt Disney World, WFMZ reported. She has been charged with arson, recklessly endangering another person, risking a catastrophe and possession of an instrument of crime.
