Aerial footage shows deadly shootout that left 1 LEO wounded, 1 suspect dead
The video also shows the wounded officer applying his own tourniquet after neutralizing the suspect

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety released aerial footage of a deadly Feb. 18 pursuit and shootout that left the suspect dead and one officer wounded.
According to News4SA, Ernest Manuel Montelongo gave officers a fake name when they pulled him over in connection to a local shooting. He fled the scene in his car.
A police helicopter followed Montelongo from above as he drove through Bexar County. When officers caught up, footage shows Montelongo stop his car and begin to shoot, wounding one officer in the arm.
Another officer fatally wounded Montelongo in the stomach.
Video shows the wounded officer, drenched in blood, attempting to apply his own tourniquet before receiving assistance from his partner. He was later MEDEVACed from the scene.
