Movie based on Boston Marathon bombing shows police heroism

The “Patriots Day” trailer gives audiences a glimpse into the world of police officers who responded to the bombing

A new movie will provide a window into the lives of police officers and their acts of heroism during the Boston Marathon attack.

Starring actor Mark Wahlberg, “Patriots Day” is an account of Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis’s actions leading up to the 2013 bombing, according to IMDB.

According to the Boston Globe, Wahlberg told audience members at the Toronto International Film Festival he had concerns about making the movie, but he wanted to do the story justice before the topic got into the wrong hands.

“It’s not soon enough,” he said. “This stuff is happening all around us.”
