DAYTON, Ohio — A Dayton police photograph from 1925 is expected to appear on the new CBS police drama series “Tommy,” according to the Dayton Police History Foundation.
In November, the history organization said they were contacted by the script coordinator for the new series for permission to use the photo featuring Dayton officers on motorcycles as part of the background set.
“It is centered in the background of the police headquarters which should guarantee the Dayton police motorcycle picture makes regular weekly appearances,” the organization said.
“Tommy” stars multiple Emmy Award winner Edie Falco as a former high-ranking NYPD officer, who becomes the first female chief of police for Los Angeles.
The new series premieres Feb. 6 at 10 p.m.
