This week’s photo comes from Sgt. Robert Gitzen of the Waukee Police Department. Gitzen took this photo after recovering a bird from a caller’s porch. The bird stayed on his shoulder and headrest the entire drive. Gitzen said the bird has since been relaxing at a local veterinarian center in town.
