The Town of Wilton Maine is accepting applications for the position of full time police officer.

Minimum requirements are graduation from a high school or successful completion of a GED, with no felony charges, serious misdemeanors, domestic violence, must have a valid Maine driver’s license upon certification and must meet all the requirements of the Maine Criminal Justice Academy.
The candidates will have completed a full certificate academy and currently serve as a certified law enforcement officer with some college courses in criminal justice. Out-of-state applicants must meet the Maine Criminal Justice Academy requirements.
The Wilton Police Department will assist all applicants through the hiring process. All applicants must successfully pass a suitability screening, agility test, oral board screening, physical exam, intensive background investigation, psychological test, and polygraph test, successfully complete a field training program, and 6 month probationary period. This list of requirements is not all-inclusive and may vary by order of the Chief of Police. The Wilton Select Board has the final authority to hire the police officer applicant.
