Job Description

The Michigan State Police is a statewide, full service police agency. Troopers are responsible for investigating crimes, patrolling roadways, and providing a variety of related services to the public. Additional opportunities include underwater recovery, K-9, emergency services (swat), aviation, motorcycle unit, and specialty crime suppression units.

While attending the training academy, recruits receive bi-weekly pay and medical benefits for both themselves and their dependants. Following the 18-week training academy, recruits are assigned to a post and complete a 17-week FTO program.

The 121st Trooper Recruit School has a tentative start date of August 10, 2008. If interested do not delay your application.

How to Apply:

Register to take the civil service entry-level law enforcement test (CS-102) by completing the Civil Service test application. Once completed, FAX the application to (517-335-0031). Upon passing the examination, applicants will complete a pass/fail physical agility test followed by a pre-screening interview and background investigation.
