The Napa Central Public Safety Dispatch Center is the primary answer point for all 911 (Police, Fire and Medical) emergency calls for the City of Napa, City of American Canyon, Town of Yountville, and all unincorporated areas of Napa County.
The Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor is a key position that serves as a shift supervisor and reports to the Communications Manager. The person selected for this position must be highly self-motivated, confident in their knowledge of public safety dispatch systems and protocols, and be willing to assist the manager in improving customer service and Center responsiveness.
A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position would be: Three years of public safety dispatch experience comprised of law enforcement or fire service dispatch responsibilities. Possession of a P.O.S.T. Dispatch Training Certificate, and experience with emergency medical dispatch and computer-aided dispatch are preferred.
