Logan County Sheriff’s Office - Sterling, Colorado
While working as an investigator for the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, you will be tasked with several objectives. Included are a few of the tasks that will be assigned to you.
Investigating criminal activity at the local, state and federal level
Applying for search and arrest warrants
Crime scene processing/ evidence collection
Evidence processing (evidence room operations)
Interviewing of victims, witnesses and suspects
Operating Confidential Informants (CI's)
Maintain case files
Patrol Logan County (when needed)
The application proses will be closed on the 22nd of December 2017, at that end of business hours.
Colorado POST certified must have a minimal 2 years of experience. Lateral from out of state, must have a minimal 2 years of experience contact Colorado POST and provide all required documentation for provisional letter before date of hire. If you are hired from out of state, we will ask that you sign a contract for 2 years, since the Logan County Sheriff's Office will pay for your refresher academy.
After the application process is completed, applicants will be contacted and notified of the testing date.
Testing will consist of a written exam, to identify general knowledge of investigations. Depending on number of applicants will determine if the oral board will be held the same day or the following day.
- Age: Must be 21 years of age
- Education: Must have a High Diploma or GED degree
Must have a valid Colorado driver's license
No felony convictions or Domestic Violence charges
