The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking motivated, qualified men and women to create a hiring pool for entry-level Deputy Sheriff Positions. If you are at least 21 years old, certified by the Ohio Peace Officers Training Commission, have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and have a high school diploma or equivalent and you think you have what it takes to join a team of law enforcement professionals that are making a difference, then look no further.
The Gallia County Sheriff’s application process includes a written level examination (which will be administered on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office), an oral interview, a fitness test, a psychological examination, a pre-employment CVSA examination, an extensive background investigation, and a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening.
Applicants are required to fill out an application and submit the application, a resume and complete a Pre-Employment Questionnaire prior to participating in the written examination. All documents, including a pay scale, are available on the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office webpage at www.galliasheriff.org or can be picked up in person at the Gallia County Court House, Sheriff’s Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday – Friday at 18 Locust St. Gallipolis, Ohio.
