This is a part-time position to assist with parking enforcement during the Summer Season in Louisville, Colorado. The Parking Ambassador will be required to work Friday evenings during the Louisville Street Faire and for other summer events as needed. Under the supervision of Corporal/Sergeant, provides parking enforcement and as directed. Work is performed with independence in the field; making decisions requiring the use of judgment, discretion, and diplomacy. Work is reviewed through observation, conferences, complaints resolved, and for results obtained. Performs other work as required.
Examples of Duties:
Patrols the City for parking and other related violations.
Investigates code violations and prepares reports, and resolves complaints by taking appropriate action.
Researches records to secure name and address of owners; prepares correspondence notifying owner of the violation, and requests resolution under terms of the ordinance, and follows up to ensure compliance.
Researches data and prepares reports regarding code enforcement activities.
Documents cases for preparation and presentation at municipal, criminal, civil courts or administrative actions. Prepares and introduces evidence in court to support the City's position with regard to the resolution of code violations.
Handles responses to code violation complaints received by the department; researches and notifies complainant of resolution.
WORK SCHEDULE Position works Friday evenings during Louisville Street Faire events, Taste of Louisville event, and other special events as needed. Total work hours are approximately 5-15 hours per week. Hours will vary depending on needs of the community.
