Enforce city, county, and state laws and patrol district.
Salaries are based on a step program with yearly increases ranging from $43,648 to $57,688 for a 240 day work year. Two weeks of paid vacation in addition to one week of personal time given every year. Teachers Retirement System, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability plans, and TCLEOSE certification pay. All equipment, including firearms, are provided.

The successful applicant will have a high school diploma or equivalent. College is preferred but not required. Possess a valid Peace Officer license certified by TCLEOSE and be able to pass a comprehensive written exam, physical fitness test, polygraph exam, psychological exam, drug screening and medical exam. Applicants will also undergo a comprehensive background investigation. PISD Officers are required to live in close proximity to the district within 6 months of hire date.
