WELL QUALIFIED APPLICANTS will have a four year degree in Criminal Justice.
MINIMALLY QUALIFIED APPLICANTS CRITERIA:
Certifiable as a Law Enforcement Officer in Wisconsin by the Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB) based on completing an academy as a civilian; OR out of state law enforcement certification; OR have a minimum of 60 college credits within 6 months of application.
Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin drivers license or be eligible to obtain a valid Wisconsin drivers license upon appointment; be at least 21 years old; be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays; good character; good driving record; NO unpardoned adult felony convictions; NO convictions for domestic violence; free from any alcohol violations within the past five years, and “free from any physical, emotional, or mental condition which might adversely affect performance” as a law enforcement officer.
