Job Description

The Waynoka Police Department is accepting applications for full time and reserve Police Officers. Applications will be accepted until position(s) are filled. Experience and CLEET certification are strongly preferred, but not required.

Additional Information

The City of Waynoka is located in Woods County and is a diverse rural community with a population of approximately 1000. The city hosts several large events annually and is the home of Little Sahara State Park and the annual rattlesnake hunt, which brings in large numbers of tourists from all over the country.

Job Requirements

  • Age: Must be 21 years of age
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: Strongly prefered but not required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass thorough background investigation
  • Must be of sound moral character
  • Must be able to work in small town environment
  • Must be able to work alongside officers from surrounding agencies
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be willing to relocate to the Waynoka area within 30 days of employment
The City of Waynoka offers competitive salary, benefits, retirement, take home vehicle for full time certified officers, and issued duty weapons and Tasers.
  • Non-certified starting salary $27,500.00 annual
  • Certified starting salary $29,500.00 annual
