The Jackson Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer until November 15, 2013 at 1500 hrs. The duties of our Police Officer positions are similar to other law enforcement agencies. We offer a variety of Patrol, Investigative, and Special Duty assignment. - Education: : High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience: : Preferred but not required
Applicants must be Missouri P.O.S.T. certified and have completed an approved academy training program of at least 480 hours, 21 Years of Age, possess a current valid Driver’s license; education equivalent to graduation from high school or possess a GED certificate, and complete all phases of the applicant process.
Selected applicants will be required to undergo a written examination, physical agility test, oral board, psychological assessment and a comprehensive background investigation. Prior to employment, applicants must complete a medical examination and a pre-employment drug screen.
