The University of Pennsylvania Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of police officer.
The UPPD with 116 members, is one of the largest private police departments in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.The UPPD is comprised of uniform patrol, bicycle patrol, a canine unit and a motorcycle unit.UPPD police officers are responsible for the operational law enforcement functions of the Division of Public Safety. These functions include protection of life and property, preservation of peace, maintenance of good order, responding to calls for service and traffic enforcement. All UPPD personnel are sworn officers certified through the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers' Training and Education Commission and retain full law enforcement authority in the Commonwealth.
