POSITION SUMMARY: General duty police work enforcing laws and ordinances related to the protection of life and property, directing and controlling traffic, preventing crime or disturbance of peace, and arresting suspected violators. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Florida Law Enforcement Certification as set forth by the Florida Police Standards Council. Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. If served in the military, an honorable discharge is required. Valid Florida Driver's License and maintenance of clean driving record.
