The Rochester Police Department is now accepting applications to compile an eligibility list for the position of police officer. Applicants must be 21 years of age by the time of the written examination. Applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of 60 semester hours of college credit, however a minimum of 2 years previous full-time (military or civilian) law enforcement experience will be acceptable. The hiring process will include a written examination, an oral interview, a background investigation, a POWER test, psychological screening, a medical evaluation, and drug screening.
