As a member of the Transportation and Traffic Management team, this position is responsible for controlling vehicular and pedestrian traffic on the Columbus campus. Directs traffic during roadway construction and repair, special events and other occurrences as needed; closes off road access and reroutes traffic to improve flow of vehicles and pedestrians around campus as needed for construction sites, special events or other occurrences; conducts non-injury traffic accident investigations and processes related paperwork; provides assistance and information to faculty, staff, students and visitors. Ensures motorist and pedestrian compliance with campus rules and regulations; enforces University policy regarding bicycle usage on campus; issues warnings and/or citations as necessary; removes, impounds and transports to storage bicycles as needed. Monitors traffic equipment including barricades, A-frames, cones, signs, caution tape, sign stands and other materials; confirms set up/ tear down of materials required for events; conducts traffic surveys; assists in training of other officers.

Valid Ohio driver’s license and evidence of satisfactory driving record for insurability by university. No felony, drug or sexual related offense convictions.
