• Highly proficient at using verbal tools to de-escalate conflicts. • Personally invested in the success of the City of Glendale. • Dedicated to serving the community. • Excited to learn about and become a contributing member of our community. • Motivated to train and perform at a very high operational tempo. • POST certified (or have a conditional letter from POST). • Licensed to drive by the State of Colorado. • Legally entitled to work in the United States. • Able to complete a thorough work, criminal, personal, and driving background investigation.The Glendale Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency, and the positions to be filled are full-time positions. New officers are assigned to the Patrol Division. Based on the needs of the department, there may be lateral assignments to Investigations, Community Liaison, and Crime Scene Investigation. In addition, training is a focus at the Glendale Police Department, and officers are generally given the opportunity to serve as instructors in a wide variety of disciplines.
