The Loveland Police Department is a member of the Northern Colorado Regional Forensic Lab (NCRFL). The other Law Enforcement Agencies that participate in the NCRFL are: Ft Collins Police, Larimer County Sheriff, Greeley Police, and the Weld County Sheriff. The Loveland Police Department has 95 sworn officers and 41 civilian employees.
The NCRFL recently built a brand new lab building that opened in September 2013.
The Latent Fingerprint Examiner will work for the Loveland Police Department, assigned to the Northern Colorado Regional Forensic Laboratory (NCRFL), and under the direction of the Lab Director, conducting examination of latent fingerprint evidence submitted by representative agencies.
Hiring salary range: $49,800 - $62,300 per year

Bachelor’s Degree in police science, physical science or related field and a minimum of six (6) months experience specific to the field of latent prints, or a Associates Degree in a related scientific field and two (2) years general crime scene / criminal investigation experience required.
Two (2) years of special training in latent print examination preferred. Court qualified expertise in fingerprint analysis and processing preferred.
Valid driver’s license required. Current certification as a Latent Print Examiner by the International Association for Identification or the ability to obtain certification within 18 months of hire date.
