The San Bruno Police Department has a long-standing tradition of small-town service with a big-city dedication to public safety and employs a community-oriented policing and problem-solving philosophy. This is an entry-level, non-sworn position that may perform a variety of duties, including code and parking regulation enforcement, conducting follow-up investigations of crimes, assisting citizens with resolving public safety matters, community education, and performing support duties for police officers such as serving subpoenas, interviewing witnesses, and taking reports. It is an at-will, part-time position (no benefits) that utilizes a non-traditional work schedule, which may routinely include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience: Interest in Law Enforcement
-At least 18 years of age or older
-Possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, a valid California driver’s license
-Ability to pass an extensive background investigation
-Completion of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
