This position requires the issuance of a District Certificate by Florida Virtual School. There is a certification fee of $75.00 if employment is offered. The fee is applicable only at the time a position is offered and accepted. You will be required to renew your certification, when applicable, for as long as you remain an active FLVS employee teaching this course.
The required District Certifcation is Criminal Justice. The course teaching assigment is Criminal Justice Operations 1.

Required Occupational Work Experience: Police Officer, Police Servide Aide, Correctional Officer, 911 Public Safety Telecommunicator, Fire Investigator, Public Works Manager, Fire Fighter
Degreed Vocational Education Teacher :Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Criminal Justice & At least 2 years of experience of vocational work experience in the area of the teaching assignment
Non-Degreed Vocational Teacher: High School Diploma/GED & Six years full-time occupational experience (or the equivalent part-time) in the area of the teaching assignment -OR- High School Diploma/ GED &Two years full-time occupational experience (or the equivalent part-time) & In combination with one of the following: 1)Completion of a training program specific to the area, completed at a postsecondary vocational or technical institute aproved by the State Board for Vocational Education in the state where the institution is located. 2)A valid certifcate, or license issued by a recognized state or national credentialing agency in an area specific to the assignment. 3) A certificate of completion of an apprenticeship program, established by the U.S Department of Labor or the Florida Department of Labor.
