The City of Loveland Police Department, located in beautiful Northern Colorado is currently accepting applications for Police Officer. This is an entry-level safety sensitive position that is involved with the complex and specialized activities required to maintain civil order and enforce laws and ordinances. Police officers are responsible for the protection of life and property, detection and prevention of crime, apprehension of criminals, and enforcement of laws under authority of the City of Loveland and State of Colorado, in a designated specialized area or on an assigned shift. Hiring salary: $56,400 per year; $59,500 per year for lateral officers

- Experience: No minimum required
Must have at a minimum an Associate’s Degree, 90 quarter hours or 60 semester credit hours from an accredited college or university recognized by the American Council on Education and a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to legally possess and carry a firearm. Must meet physical ability test standards set forth in Loveland Police Department Directives. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language as determined by the LPD officer selection process.
