FULL TIME DEPUTY SHERIFF POSITION OPENING
The Strafford County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking full-time certified applicants for an eligibility list with anticipated openings for full time deputies. Pay range of $25.98 to $30.72. Strafford County Sheriff’s Office is an equal opportunity employer offering a competitive compensation package. The position typically requires regular Monday-Friday dayshift work, but will include nights, weekends and holidays depending on the needs of the office. The position also requires deputies being on call on a rotating basis. The ideal applicant will also have a CDL-B with a Passenger Endorsement or is willing and able to obtain one at the expense of the SCSO.
Applicants must be of good character, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid New Hampshire driver license, and possess a full time certification with the NH Police Standards and Training Council. A background investigation will be conducted prior to employment. Applicants are expected to be able to work cooperatively with co-workers, inmates, and the public in varying circumstances.
The hiring process may include: oral interviews, physical test, medical exam, drug test, psychological exam, and polygraph exam. The position will remain open until filled. Qualified applications will be kept on file for one year.
