Deputies spotted Todd Marchesano’s car at a U-Haul store when he fled

By PoliceOne Staff

OCALA, Fla. — A wanted sex offender was taken into custody after an officer used a PIT maneuver to end the pursuit.

Deputies spotted Todd Marchesano’s car in a U-Haul parking lot Friday when he fled, CBS 12 reported. Marchesano, 48, failed to comply with his sex offender reporting requirements.

Video shows Marchesano weaving in and out of traffic to evade police. The pursuit ended when an officer used a PIT maneuver. Marchesano’s minivan hit a median, flipped and crashed. He suffered minor injuries.

Passenger Tina Nabbefeld was arrested as well. She was wanted for allegedly stealing bronze vases from a cemetery and reselling them, The Ocala Star-Banner reported.

Both suspects are at Marion County Jail awaiting trial.
