By Margaret McHugh
The Newark Star-Ledger

A retired Morris Plains police lieutenant can never again hold a public job and must do 500 hours of community service after admitting yesterday that he submitted false reimbursement claims for clothing totaling $680 over three years.

Roxbury resident Michael Womer, 44, pleaded guilty to three disorderly persons counts of theft, admitting that in 2005, 2006 and 2007, he submitted reimbursement claims for work clothing that he didn't really buy.
