HARLAN, Ky. — There are new sets of eyes in the Harlan City Police Department. Now everything officers do is documented on video thanks to a new camera system.

Harlan Police Officers are wearing the new piece of equipment on their uniforms. It is a mobile video camera. Officers started wearing them on Friday.

"So far it's working good. Captures good video that can be used," said Chief Mike Thomas. "It will help support to convict some people or it can be used to redeem some people. It goes both ways," said Chief Thomas.
