Ala. police shoot man during gunfight

LANETT, Ala. — A man, authorities say, fired shots at Lanett, Ala., police Sunday morning is in The Medical Center after he was shot by an officer.

The man, whose name wasn't released by Police Chief Teddy Morris, was wandering the 1700 block of 24th Street Southwest around 11:30 a.m. When officers responded, they saw him waving a revolver.
