Cell phone signal used to find suspect in Calif. killing

By Brent Ainsworth
San Jose Mercury News

MARIN COUNTY, Calif. — Wearing a pink nightie, 1-year-old Samantha Mitchell was fast asleep in her car seat Sunday night when her father was apprehended by police on a manhunt for a murder-kidnap suspect.

James Raphael Mitchell had pulled to the side of a road in a Sacramento suburb when he was arrested without a struggle after a five-hour search by Novato police that involved an Amber Alert and cell phone tracking.
