The software that tailors the product to police, Police Pro, was created by Ikanos Consulting.

The Police Pro application provides real-time situational awareness in the field by allowing officers to record incidents for later analysis and view live video feeds from other Golden-i headsets, according to the article.

The system, which is set to be tested this year, can also identify suspects using facial recognition technology , scans license plates, receives alerts from motion sensors, and can access GPs coordinates.
