FirstNet launches ‘Public Safety First’ podcast

The podcast highlights first responders and their experiences with FirstNet

RESTON, Va. — FirstNet launched a podcast that highlights first responders and discusses how FirstNet works in the field.

The podcast, titled “Public Safety First,” is hosted by FirstNet Public Safety Advocacy Executive Director Dave Buchanan and features stories from first responders about how the network impacts emergency operations through improved communications and security.

Buchanan talks with Clark County Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan in the third episode of the podcast about several topics, including how FirstNet can improve response to large events such as the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.

The deputy chief also discusses the transition to FirstNet and how the network can appeal to all generations of firefighters.
