DG: You pack a big punch in a small package. What’s your secret?
C.H.A.M.P.: I weigh-in like a flyweight, but my punch is strictly heavyweight. I don’t need excess bulk to get the job done. In fact,
I work better in the ring because I’m lean and tight. And I don’t give anything away to my opponent with a bunch of visible excess mass. I’m all I need.
DG: Is surprise a big part of your fight game?
C.H.A.M.P.: Yep. Sometimes I bring it from the left; sometimes from the right. Either way, I’m coming at you hard and fast. But if you’re on my side, I’m dependable and reliable. The only surprise you’re gonna see is on the face of my opponent when he’s kissing the canvas.
DG: How’s your stamina if you have to go the distance?
C.H.A.M.P.: I’ll just say, I’m so quick on the draw that going the distance isn’t always necessary. But I’m gonna carry your sidearm lots of rounds before I ever show any signs of wearing down. If you’re in my corner, I’ll be light on YOUR feet and will never let you get counted out.
DG: Any special conditioning that gives you an edge?
C.H.A.M.P.: Well, DeSantis put me through lots of tough training and development before my debut last month.
They honed me out of the best materials available then put me through the ringer. They wanted to make sure I was ready to rock on fight night.
DG: Any words for your next opponent?
C.H.A.M.P.: Listen, we can do this little dance if you want, but we both know how it’s gonna end: bad for you.
