Gun stolen from Pa. cop for second time

His department is looking for answers as to why the weapon was left on the front seat of the officer's personal car

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Police in Harrisburg are searching for an officer's handgun and for answers to why the weapon was left on the front seat of the officer's personal car.

The gun was taken from the officer's car outside a home on Second Street Monday evening.

Police Capt. Michael Umipig would only say that someone entered the car illegally. He would not say if the car had been left unlocked.
