Video: Dog iPhone app helps cops catch burglar

Footage of the robbery was aired on a local news affiliate, which helped police arrest the intruder

By PoliceOne Staff

DENVER — A woman in Denver, Colorado used an iPhone application to catch a burglar who stole electronics from her home.

The woman recorded the robber’s actions using an iPhone app called iCam, which she loaded to check on her dog while she was away. The footage of the robbery was aired on a local news affiliate, which helped police arrest the intruder.

"We developed information that led to the suspect based on the video that captured the burglar in action," said Denver Police Det. John White.

The iCam can be downloaded for Apple or Andriod products. Watch video of the robbery on the right.
