Umatilla County OKs Cutting-edge Patrol Cameras

The Umatilla County sheriff’s patrol cars are about to enter the age of digital video.

The county commissioners Wednesday agreed to pay $114,525 to WatchGuard, an Allen, Texas, firm, for 15 digital cameras and a high-speed wireless download and storage system. The eight sheriff’s patrol cars and handful of reserve units currently lack any onboard cameras. Read full story.
