Calif. suspect wrestles with K-9

Man was wanted on a felony arrest warrant on suspicion of possession of stolen property and weapons violations

GRIDLEY, Calif. — A man sought on an arrest warrant was found near his residence recently after a 90-minute search, fighting with a sheriff's canine.

Butte County deputy Brad Derek's police service dog, Jacks, located Joshua Lance Cooper, 32, of Gridley, hidden in thick berry bushes about 150 yards from his residence on Farris Road.
