DropFire Company Information

DropFire, Inc. was founded on the premise that wireless communication and digital imaging are merging to streamline a number of business, public safety, and interpersonal interactions. As the use of portable computing platforms - laptops, PDAs, and tablet PCs increases, communication will be a fundamental component of successful applications. Currently, DropFire is pursuing the public safety industry, which has begun to combine mobile computing with law enforcement to make their officers more effective in the field.

DropFire targets two aspects of security - suspect apprehension and missing person identification. The former is required by public safety officials who need to do a better job of positively identifying suspects without having to rely on general descriptions. In the case of missing persons, elderly Alzheimer victims, runaways, and Amber Alerts; several steps are being taken to ensure that photos are recent, accessible, and can be distributed as widely as is reasonable.

DropFire is a privately held company incorporated in 2001 in Delaware and based in Cambridge, MA. Founded to tap into the need for remote monitoring on construction sites, DropFire''s current focus is on the Public Safety market, starting with a year long beta test and development project in cooperation with the Brookline, MA Police Department. DropFire recently won the Lowell Police Department as a customer, and has begun to establish relationships with resellers to expand into new jurisdictions.
