Datalux Corporation released a new rugged tablet designed for extreme environments, according to a press release.

The Datalux TM110 has an 11.6 inch display screen and is a ¾-inch thick. The tablet is powered by Intel Core i5 or i7 processors.

The 2.8 pound ruggedized tablet was designed for a variety of environments and withstands drops of up to three feet. The HD screen is readable in direct sunlight and can be used with included stylus.

The built-in 802.11ac WiFi from Intel allows for secure connectivity to access points or in-vehicle network devices. Users may connect through USB to vehicle modems or connect to 4G LTE with Verizon.

The keyboard is backlit and can be clipped and unclipped from a vehicle mount. Vehicle installation assistance is available.

The tablet can be configured with GPS. Add-ins designed for secure data collection include readers for barcodes, RFID, smart cards and mag stripe cards.

The tablet is also equipped with TPM 1.2 for hardware security and a Kensington lock for physical security.

The TM110 is backed by Datalux’s three-year freedom warranty which protects against accidental damage.
