Spotlight: Adventos’ SmartForce™ technology is helping LE agencies reduce crime and liability
Adventos is empowering the LE community with a management system that helps agencies work more efficiently
Company Name: Adventos
Headquarters: Greenwood, CO
Signature Product: SmartForce™ Agency Management System
1. Where did your company name originate from?
The SmartForce™ Agency Management System uses interactive apps that are secure, mobile, and user friendly for crime reduction and professional standards.
Adventos is an acronym for Advanced Enterprise Offerings and Solutions. The name was chosen to focus our company on helping governmental and law enforcement organizations improve their effectiveness and efficiencies through software technology.
2. What was the inspiration behind starting your company?
The CEO and Founder of Adventos always looked up to his uncle who was a good influence on him and was a leader of a SWAT team. Upon getting a degree in Computer Information Systems, he wanted to arm law enforcement and other governmental agencies with software technologies that could help them become more effective and efficient so he could make a positive impact on people through law enforcement officers who directly or indirectly protect and serve.
3. What is your signature product and how does it work?
SmartForce™ is our flagship brand. The SmartForce™ Agency Management System has two modules that can be purchased separately or together. The first, called SmartIntel, empowers law enforcement agencies to work more effectively at reducing, preventing, and disrupting crime by organizing, disseminating, and collaborating on crime information and intelligence. The second, called SmartIA, helps agencies and supervisors manage liability through use of force reporting, complaints and commendations reporting, pursuits reporting, and field training of officers.
4. Why do you believe your products are essential to the police community?
SmartForce™ is essential because law enforcement agencies must do more than just respond to calls for service. Pro-active policing to reduce crime can be improved by using SmartForce™ to focus efforts on specific persons or places. SmartForce™ organizes crime bulletin, photo, and video information with mobile technology and allows for the different departments within a law enforcement agency to collaborate on common offenders and problem areas. All can be done with the touch of a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.
5. What has been the biggest challenge your company has faced?
Awareness is our biggest challenge to date. SmartForce™ has been proven to help law enforcement agencies reduce crime and become more efficient, but has only been on the market for 18 months. Since there are no other technology products like SmartForce™, most chiefs, sheriffs, and command staffs are not aware of our software and how easily it can be applied to their proactive policing efforts to help them better achieve their crime reduction goals.
6. What makes your company unique?
Few companies spend the effort and time to utilize evidence-based research to design their products. At Adventos, we design our software based on research and for where the law enforcement field is heading. We are focused on agencies that strive for excellence.
7. What do your customers like best about you and your products?
Our customers like that we work with them to understand their current challenges and goals first, then examine how SmartForce™ can help them overcome their challenges or meet their goals faster. By doing it this way, we fit a square peg into a square hole. Once we have a plan, we train and support them with small steps and small wins and then expand to larger steps and large wins that lead to positive organizational change and results.
8. What is the most rewarding part of serving the first responder community?
Hearing that our software allows them to do their jobs easier and safer while positioning them more often as heroes in the public eye.
9. Do you support any charitable organizations within public safety?
Yes, we support many different charitable organizations that provide assistance to families of fallen officers.
10. What's next for your company? Any upcoming new projects or initiatives?
Next for us is to design our technology to connect local, state, and regional agencies to detect crime patterns more quickly and to collaborate so as to catch more criminals and prevent future crimes.
