Meggitt Training Systems’ FATS® 100P brings portable, virtual training to Police Security Expo

SUWANEE, Ga. — Meggitt Training Systems will highlight its portable FATS® 100P small-arms training system at the 33rd Annual Police Security Expo. The law enforcement event will be held June 25-26, 2019 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in New Jersey.

“From marksmanship to de-escalation of force, Meggitt’s FATS 100P enables police departments to train just about anywhere, plus educate their local communities about the complex circumstances law enforcement faces every day,” said Matt Cunningham, Meggitt’s director of virtual systems sales. “Police Security Expo attendees are invited to see a demo of the FATS 100P, plus learn about our multi-screen FATS 180LE and 300LE for even greater scenario immersion.”

The FATS 100P features advanced functionality for both instructor and trainee, delivering weapon handling and shot placement analytics, marksmanship automatic coaching tools, video-based judgmental training for escalation and de-escalation of force and enhanced graphic capabilities, all in a compact package. Portable and light, the FATS 100P comes in two rugged hand-carry cases the size of a large range bag that allow easy transportation, set-up and operation by one person. Up to six weapon simulators, including Meggitt’s patented wireless BlueFire®, can be run simultaneously.

Meggitt Training Systems recruits a significant amount of its workforce from law enforcement. As such, the company is ideally positioned to leverage that expertise to address evolving requirements from police departments.
