Off-duty Oakland officer dies in motorcycle crash

CONCORD, Calif. An off-duty Oakland police officer was found dead late Saturday afternoon in Concord after the motorcycle he was riding apparently ran off a road, according to authorities.

The officer, identified by Oakland police as Stanley Mock, 38, of Clayton, was found with his motorcycle about 5:30 p.m. by a passer-by near the entrance to the Cal State East Bay Concord campus, according to the Concord Police Department.
