AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police officers donned a different kind of uniform as they brought smiles to young patients at a hospital.

The Austin Police Department held its fourth annual Superhero Day at a children’s medical center on Tuesday, Patch.com reports. The goal of the event is to provide a fun-filled day for the young patients.

The children got to interact with officers, some of whom were in their regular police uniform and others dressed as iconic superheroes, such as Batman, Iron Man, and Superman. The officers who wore superhero outfits also engaged in a staged battle with villains like The Riddler and Catwoman.

The officers also signed autographs and snapped selfies with the children, according to KXAN.
